I teach you how to prepare a loaf of homemade bread with all-purpose flour and with little kneading or stirring. Easy and fast, ideal for beginners. There is a crispy crust and a very tender and fluffy crumb. The trick to this bread recipe is how it is baked. Few things are as delicious as pairing your meals with good bread and, also, if you make the bread, you will love the result. With meat, fish, in a sandwich or with some eggs … Surprise yourself at home with this homemade bread and you will see how satisfied they are.
500 g (4 cups) all-purpose wheat flour
350 ml of lukewarm water (1 1/2 cups)
6 g dehydrated yeast or 15 g fresh yeast
10 g of salt
15 g of sugar
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1.- The first thing is to hydrate the yeast. Put a little water in a bowl and add the yeast and sugar. Now stir (about 2 minutes) with a wooden spoon until the yeast is completely dissolved.
2.- In a bowl, pour the warm water, the hydrated yeast, the olive oil, and 5 tablespoons of flour. Mix well and when everything is well integrated, cover with a cloth and let stand at room temperature for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, you will see that the dough has filled with bubbles and has grown. It is time to incorporate all the flour.
3.- Add the flour and mix. The dough has to be very thick. Add the salt at this point. Transfer the dough to the marble when it is very compact.
4.-Spread a little flour on the marble and pour the entire mass. Knead for a couple of minutes. If you rub your hands with a little olive oil it will not stick to you. Let the dough rest for half an hour, covered with a cloth, on the floured worktop.
5.- Spread a little oil on the baking paper as well as the inside of the mold that will be used for baking. The mold I have used measures 22 cm in diameter. After 30 minutes, the dough is ready to bake. Smear your hands with oil and remove the air from the bread. Go to the cookie sheet and, with a knife, make a couple of cuts. Sprinkle with a little flour to give the bread a rustic look.
6.- Cover the dough with the mold that will serve so that the moisture in the bread does not escape and the bread grows much more. Place the tray with the oven off and cold. Turn the oven on to 200 degrees and bake for 45 minutes with heat up and down.
7.- Remove the bread from the oven, remove the pyrex pan and place the bread on a rack to cool.
